Programs Associate

Born in Roatan, Bay Islands . She began her teaching career as an assistant in La Ceiba while attending college, and then returned home and has dedicated the last twenty years to working in the field of education.

With broad teaching experience and outcomes, she has worked as Advisor of educators within the Bilingual educational system and collaborated with teachers to implement more technology and a variety of teaching strategies in the educational process, henceforth creating a dynamic environment.

As a native Bay Islander, she has been always observant of the way education impacts the lives of the local families and hopes to one day see future generations educated and better prepared; a shared responsibility of all the Bay Islands communities.

John Dilbert
Librarian

I am a Librarian for the Sand Castle Library. I am a talented teacher and librarian, and I enjoy using my skills to contribute to the exciting activities that happen every day at the Sand Castle Library. I graduated from the Instituto Jose Santos Guardiola in 2008 and from the Escuela Normal Mixta del Litoral Atlantico, in Tela, Atlantida (SEDE Roatan) as a Bilingual Teacher in 2012.

I am obsessed with all things teaching-related and I spend my free time working and developing my own teaching materials. I enjoy watching the History Chanel, listening to audible books and spending time with my kids.

Kelvin Cosnor
Reading & Library Associate -Santos Guardiola

I am from Diamond Rock in Santos Guardiola where I attended primary school, followed by secondary school in Oakridge. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer and basketball. I first came to know about PIER as a youngster - my sisters worked in the Bookmobiles and, in time, they introduced me to Cam and Ted . I enjoy my job because of the reading skills the kids can develop by having books made available to them and I can help with that.
