About PFI
The PIER Foundation International (PFI) is a non-profit organization established in 2021 under the laws of the State of Arizona. Recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Code, PFI was founded by Milesse Kennedy and Patrick Connell as a strategic partner to Partners in Education Roatan (PIER). This collaborative partnership provides U.S. citizens with a unique opportunity to support PIER’s mission, vision, and objectives by donating, fundraising, advising, and actively participating from the United States
.
The PFI board and committees welcome U.S. and Honduran citizens who are committed to actively contributing to the organization's work. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, donations made by U.S. citizens to PFI, which are directed to PIER, are fully tax-deductible.
In addition to fundraising, PFI board and committee members play an advisory role, assisting PIER with teacher training, curriculum development, and student support. These efforts aim to improve academic performance and enhance job skills for students in the Bay Islands.
