As part of our ongoing efforts to build strong educational leadership, we offered a series of workshops designed to train educators to become leaders and change-makers within their own schools. The focus of this initiative was on "train-the-trainer" principles, empowering teachers to not only strengthen their own leadership skills but also to pass on these transformative techniques to their peers.
Over the course of 36 hours, four workshops were conducted, training 57 teachers across the Bay Islands. These sessions provided participants with the tools and strategies needed to foster innovation in the classroom while also cultivating a culture of leadership among their colleagues. By focusing on a "train-the-trainer" approach, we aimed to create a ripple effect, ensuring that the knowledge and practices learned would spread throughout the community.
This initiative is key to building sustainable leadership in schools, allowing educators to lead by example and inspire their peers to embrace new teaching methods. The Leadership and Innovation Education program is shaping a future where teachers are not only experts in their fields but also leaders who drive positive change in education across the Bay Islands.
"The objective is big. It is critical for children to love reading and open their minds to new worlds through books. Your work is bearing fruit."
